New Year 2001. Funäsdalen, around 700km northwest of Stockholm. The whole weekend, Christmas and New Year, the temperature jumped between -4C and -30C. When we arrived to Funäs it was -27C.
Preparing the New Year dinner. Everybody helped or they were very hungry!
The dinner during and after the first course.
Ausrine.
One day after we arrived it was -28C and Ausrine and I decided to take it easy and use the car (poor thing) and drive around. The last picture shows the mountain north of Funäsdalen (the village).
We took also a walk. The breathing was brisk in -28C.
Then it was good with a coffee and a cognac (or whatever it was in the glass). Robert and Christer do not look too happy or .....
In the picture to the left it is Åsa, Åsa and Ausrine. In the picture to the right Åsa and Mats. Christer, Per and Robert.
Our friends were more active but finally I decided to go with them up on the mountain. -17C but .....
.... you got to sweat hard to reach the top.
Then it was nice to come back to the cottage.
At a hotel nearby they have a bath tub outside. :-))
Mats looks happy and confident. What reason?
